JTA Attends the The 1st CEO Roundtable Meeting of 2024, organized by the ABHA Foundation, was held on March 06, 2024, in order to discuss the myriad opportunities and constraints stemming from the ongoing energy transition. The meeting brought together CEOs, industry experts, policymakers, and civil society leaders to discuss innovative solutions to the most pressing global issues.
The main focus of the meeting was the discussions at the Roundtable which was centered on the ramifications of decisions and declarations, both made and deferred, at COP28. The focus will be on discerning how these outcomes will shape the trajectory of the global energy transition.
Several CEOs shared their experiences and insights on sustainable development, including the importance of building sustainable supply chains, developing green products and services, and investing in renewable energy. In the context of this Roundtable, the energy transition refers to a global shift from traditional, fossil fuel-based energy systems to cleaner, more sustainable, and low carbon energy sources. The primary goal of the energy transition is to mitigate the environmental impact of energy consumption, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and address climate change concerns.
