During January 29 to February 01,2024, Dr. Amir Ali Salemi, together with the JTA Management team, visited Sri Lanka to explore new business opportunities. In this visit, JTA had several productive meetings with the Chief of Staff to President, the Minister of Investment Promotion, and a number of business leaders to discuss their business plans and ideas for investment in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka, an island nation strategically located along major shipping routes, boasts a robust economy with several positive aspects. The country is renowned for its tea industry, being one of the world's top exporters, and offers a significant source of foreign exchange and employment. Tourism flourishes in Sri Lanka, attracting visitors with its rich cultural heritage, diverse wildlife, and stunning landscapes. The industrial sector is also noteworthy, with significant contributions from textiles and garments, which are major export items, as well as emerging sectors such as information technology and business process outsourcing.
