The Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah International Energy Awards for Lifetime Achievement in the Energy sector were presented at the Al-Attiyah Foundation's annual celebration on Wednesday, October 12th, 2023. Dr. Amir Ali Salemi, CEO and senior management of JTA Holding were invited to this award ceremony, which was also attended by H.E. Al Attiyah, the former Minister of Energy and Industry and Deputy Prime Minister for the State of Qatar and many other Qatari dignitaries and ministers.

The award winners included the Executive Vice President of operations of QatarEnergy Ahmad Saif Al Sulaiti, Distinguished Research Fellow of the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies Professor Jonathan Stern, Deputy Director for Energy at the White House Office of Science Professor Sally M. Benson, Director of the Laboratory of Photonics and Interfaces of the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne Professor Michael Grätzel, and an author and former Environment Correspondent for the BBC Richard Black.
