On October 9, 2024, Dr. Amir Ali Salemi, CEO of JTA International Investment Holding, met with H.E. Mr. Habibu Awesi Mohamed, Ambassador of Tanzania to the State of Qatar, to explore potential investment opportunities in Tanzania.
During the meeting, Dr. Amir Ali Salemi expressed JTA’s interest in contributing to various sectors in Tanzania, including energy, agriculture, infrastructure, and tourism. He emphasized that JTA’s strategic investments could support Tanzania’s development goals and enhance its economic growth. Dr. Amir also referenced his recent visit to Tanzania and discussed project opportunities with a few companies underlining JTA's commitment to infrastructure projects in Tanzania.
Tanzania is known for its abundant natural resources, with significant reserves of natural gas and minerals that are vital to its energy and mining sectors. Agriculture remains central to the economy, particularly in cash crops like coffee, tea, and cashews. Additionally, the tourism sector is thriving, attracting visitors with its wildlife, national parks, and cultural heritage, presenting promising investment opportunities.
H.E. Mr. Habibu Awesi Mohamed outlined government initiatives aimed at improving the business environment and attracting foreign investment. Both parties agreed to continue discussions and identify specific areas for collaboration that align with Tanzania’s long-term economic vision.
